It is very nice of you to take such an initiative. Having formed such groups I also believe you could have set some goals for the groups. Pl enable some short term projects which each group can do, it can be some what linke...d... to their group titles if possible in physics, astronomy, agriculture, sociology etc. Small exhibits of their project as and when completed can be arranged where in they will explain their project to the rest of the school.
You can also read/subscribe to NASA education thro net.
Small picnic like tours connected with science also shall be arranged.
